I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful new year!
The Christmas season was nuts for us. But, we are finally getting back on track. After parties and and a lot of rest and sleep, we are finally ready for a little normal schedule.
My parents had their 40th anniversary party a couple of weeks ago and it was wonderful. The day was freezing, though. It didn't get above 0 all day. Not only that, but the wind was howling and it was blowing snow all over the place. Fortunately, we had a warm place to be. (Once the boiler was fixed!) Yes, the heat did go out, but once it was back on, we noticed!
Our big bummer for our break was my oldest son. He broke his foot sledding. It was really very sad. Once we were able to go to the orthopedist, he informed us that not only was there one break, but two. YIKES! However, being the trooper he is, he has adapted well. Instead of the clacking of crutches that we had the first 10 days, we now have the thud of a boot! That will be for about the next 5 weeks. Ahh, the joys of being the mom of a boy!
Here are some photos from he last few weeks.
Here is my son laid up at my parents party!
More shots from the party...
The happy couple after 40 years!
Despite the frigid temperatures, I drove by a water fall and was amazed to find that it was still flowing strong. It was all white and icy in spots, but other places it was flowing strong.
Here is to a happy, healthy and prosperous 2009!!
