Joys of Fall

    As I mentioned earlier, fall is one of my favorite seasons.  I love the crisp air and the changing colors all around.  Right now things are at about their peak and it is beautiful.

Last weekend, I was with my parents and brother and his family.  We had the chance to be together and even take in a craft show.  Being the ambitious one that I can sometimes be, I took t-shirts to dye.  My kids along, with my brothers clan, made some really neat fall pumpkin t-shirts.  The weather was great and we totally got in the mood for fall and Halloween.

I also just did a photo session with my boys and have some fun photos from that. I will put those up when I get them completed.  In the mean time, enjoy this set!

40 years

My parents have reached a true milestone.  As of December 28th, they will have been married 40 years.  In that time, they have raised 2 children, become grandparents to 5 grandchildren, and meant so much to so many people.  They have taught me so much about marriage in the process.  They have taught me that as a team, there are many things that can be conquered.  They have taught me that when times are tough, the adversity can draw together and does not have to divide.  They have taught me that a marriage is partnership that can help bring balance to a family.  Their love and support has been invaluable and I will never be able to thank them enough.

These are the photos that I did for my parents this last weekend.  We are going to celebrate their anniversary in December and one of these photos will grace the invitation for the event.  I wanted to take a moment and honor my parents and their (almost) 40 years!

Autumn!

As I have been looking around over the last few weeks, we are starting to see some of the leaves in our yard change.  It has been nice to see.  Fall is one of my favorite seasons and I love the array of colors!  We have a fire bush in our back yard.  The one thing that struck me as kind of funny, was this one little leaf that decided to turn color before the rest.  It was really kind of pretty.  This one little red leaf up against the green background makes me think of another festive season not too far away!
